Start you day the RIGHT way!

Start your day the RIGHT way! 

Everyday you should start off with a healthy breakfast to fuel your body for the whole day. 

Eating a big, healthy breakfast kickstarts your metabolism for the day. Eat within the first hour of waking up, especially if you have a big test or something important going on that day. 

This is my Healthy & Delicious breakfast from this morning: 

1) Double protein english muffin with peanut butter and honey. 
2) An organic gala apple (which I keep in the refrigerator, because they taste better cold)
3) A bowl of grapes 
4) 1 full 16.9 FL OZ water bottle. 

Drinking water in the morning will hydrate your body and leave you without that sluggish feeling. The more water the better!

This is just an idea of what you can have for breakfast to start your day the healthy way! Stay away from sugary cereals and breakfast bars in the morning, they will hurt you more than they help. Always remember to keep your body fueled the right way with healthy fruits, veggies and grains.

Welcome back, now get back on track!

Good morning followers!! 

I am truly sorry I have not posted in WAY too long, but just like getting back on track with a healthy lifestyle, you have to start somewhere. 

Between school and balancing my own life, I have gotten lost in the blogging world, but I have found my way back to motivate you all once again. 

"Weight loss is like driving: If you ever veer off the road, just make a U-turn and head back in the right direction." 

This quote not only applies to weight loss, but also to a healthy lifestyle, workout plan or many other things. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. If you have a bad diet day or skip the gym, don't let it ruin what you have been working for. Chalk it up to a bad day and jump back on tomorrow! 

Don't let one slip up or bad day keep you from reaching your goals. A new lifestyle is hard to adopt at first, but once you accomplish it, you will be so happy you stuck with it.

A really yummy healthy dessert for the warmer weather is grilled pineapple with a scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt on top.

When trying to eat healthy, you may get bored with the constant salads and grilled chicken, but there are ways to make eating healthy delicious, especially in the dessert world.

To make this healthy, sweet dessert, cut all the skin off of the pineapple, but leave the leafy stem on, leaving the stem will help when you try to grill the pineapple. Then, throw the pineapple on the grill and rotate it until its just a little grilled on each side, like shown in the picture. Once it looks grilled to perfection, take it off the grill, cut it into slices and core the hard part out of the middle.

To finish it up, place it on a plate and add a scoop of ice cream, or a healthier option like frozen yogurt, on top and enjoy your healthy and delicious summer-time dessert.

"The stronger you are, the better you feel." 

So, so true! Strong is the new sexy! Of course strong doesn't only refer to how muscular you appear to be, it applies to many things. 

Having a strong drive to be healthy, having the strength to turn down unhealthy foods or having the strength to get through that last set of your workout are some of the many different strengths you have.

Aside from the strong mental capacity that makes us feel good, physical strength is very important too! Ladies, remember to weight train, and I promise you will not look "manly" if you do so. 

Do a high amount of reps with light weight to tone your muscles and make your summer bikini body one to "wow" about! Abs, arms, legs, chest, back and booty! WORK, WORK, WORK!
